The Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) RN under the direction of the QAPI RN Supervisor develops and implements an agency wide QAPI program focusing on assessment and improvement in clinical care and supporting processes and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development and implementation of an agency wide QAPI program
- Provides oversight for the QAPI program via data collection, analysis, reporting, and benchmarking
- Ensures ongoing documentation of QAPI activities in accordance with state of and federal regulations
- Prepares and presents reports regarding QAPI activities to agency leadership
- Serves as a resource for the electronic clinical information system; utilizes Southwest Medical Home Health (“Agency”) technology resources to derive performance improvement
- In collaboration with Agency leadership, fosters a culture of clinical excellence via continuous assessment and quality of focus on performance improvement; acts as a resource to all levels of staff
- In collaboration with Agency leadership, participates in development of agency policies and processes
- In collaboration with Agency leadership, participates in and coordinates state and federal surveys to include corrective action plans and appropriate documentation to support Agency compliance with corrective action plans
- Collects, analyses, trends and reports data related to complaints and incidents
- Coordinates and conducts monthly QAPI meetings; prepares QAPI-related reports and presentations; ensures accurate meeting minutes are drafted and placed in the appropriate SharePoint folder

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Registered Nurse with an active unrestricted license to practice professional nursing in the state of Nevada
- Have and maintains current CPR certification
- 3+ years clinical nursing experience
- Home Health management experience
- Experience working with electronic medical record application
- Quality Assurance experience
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of current Nursing practice, professional standards of care, and state and federal regulations regarding home care
- Basic PC skills to include Window, Outlook and Other email systems
- Valid Nevada driver license with automobile that is in good working order and maintain personal auto insurance coverage in accordance with organization requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Demonstrates excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, basic math skills, and nursing skills per competency checklist
- Complies with accepted professional standards and practices
- Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent understanding of performance improvement, quality assurance, and utilization management
- Ability to prioritize and communicate objectives clearly

Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Nevada residents is $56,300 to $110,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
