At Centura Health, we value incredible people with incredible skills - but your commitment to a greater cause is something we value even more.  Job Summary:* Assumes a supportive role and has responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. * Promotes the optimal health, wellbeing and safety of the patient in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the delegation of medical services.* Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship‐based care, organizational mission, and core values.Essential Functions:* Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including but not limited to vital signs, mini treatments/procedures, prevention services, pre‐visit planning and post‐visit follow up, medication refills per protocol for existing treatment plans and ensures patient flow through the clinic is efficient. * Actively uses and incorporates the use of patient registry into practice to determine ongoing healthcare needs.* Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in accurate, timely manner.* Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records including importing and communication of scanned documents.Qualified external applicants with direct clinical experience are eligible for up to a $15,000 sign on bonus! The bonus will be taxed per IRS regulations. Additional relocation bonus may apply based on geographical location. Must be hired into a full-time or part-time position; PRN positions are not eligible. Employee may perform other related duties as assigned.What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:  * Successful completion of all Medical Assistant Core Skills, as well as additional competencies which are specialty specific, as defined within the Scope of Practice for CHPG Medical Assistants.* Trade/Technical School, Medical Assisting Preferred* Trade/Technical School, EMT Training Preferred* Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from recognized program preferred* One year experience as a Medical Assistant or as an EMT preferred. Associates who have completed EMT training will need to complete required courses on pharmacology, provided by Centura Health Physician Group (CHPG) within 90 days.* Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required * High School diploma required  Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Your Connected Community:When people and places align, incredible things happen.
