Recruitment/Relocation Incentives are not approved. The Wound care nurse provides consultation for all nursing and LIP positions throughout the facility. The functions and responsibilities of the Wound Care RN include: Performs assessment, development of plan of care, follow up, and home-care referrals for wound management, wound vac assessments, wound vac dressing changes. . The RN will educate staff on pressure ulcer prevention and treatment. They will be actively involved with staff nurses and health techs to reduce pressure ulcers in our facilities. Continue to advance wound/ostomy Telehealth program. Participating in education programs based on staff learning needs, changes in patient population, and changes in treatment modalities. Sharing clinical expertise through teaching various classes as requested by the Nursing Education Department and supports staff member participation in unit and service-wide teaching activities. Facilitating the learning and experience of all students and serving as a resource and/or preceptor for less experienced RNs. Work Schedule: DAY/PM, Weekends.
