You Will Be Responsible For: - Demonstrates, through behavior, AdventHealth Orlando’s service standards.
- Leverages clinical knowledge background to provide advice, resources and information to patients within the Care Advocacy service.
- Manages many patient details and scenarios simultaneously and effectively, while providing efficient, clinically sound resolution
- Participates in changing processes as part of service creation.
- Utilizes EHR and existing communication tools to coordinate additional resources in order to offer solutions and provider recommendations to patients within the Care Advocacy service.
- Ensures complete resolution and communication of inquiries or concerns brought forward regarding patients within the Care Advocacy service.
- Assists in developing and documenting processes within the Care Advocacy service.
- Keeps leadership informed and seeks assistance and direction from appropriate individuals when confronted with unfamiliar procedures and techniques before implementing them to ensure delivery of safe and effective patient care.
- Maintains most current knowledge and skills pertaining to the clinical needs within the Care Advocacy service, while adhering to professional and ethical standards of practice.
- Maintains a professional relationship with all.
- Completes assigned work comprehensively and within established service level agreements.
Qualifications
What You Will Need: - ASN
- Five years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Three years of recent experience in one of the following environments: Primary Care, ER, Med/Surg, Urgent Care, Nurse Triage or simila
- Current valid State of Florida license as a registered nurse
Job Summary: We are in process of creating a new service offering, Care Advocacy, to provide consumers with an additional resource, a Care Advocate, alongside their health journey. The goal of Care Advocacy is to transform care into intentional and deliberate points of healing, working together to provide better health outcomes and whole person care to the consumer. The Care Advocate Nurse plays an important role in the efficient and effective delivery of service to patients who are part of the Care Advocacy service. The nurse function offers timely and appropriate clinical responses and offers a clinical perspective with the goal of resolving patient needs. Specifically, the Care Advocate Nurse provides clinical insight as appropriate to Care Advocates and when necessary, the Care Advocate Nurse connects with specific providers to enable appropriate care of each patient. The Care Advocate Nurse works as an enabler and in support of the Care Advocates as they provide direct communication to patients. Individuals in this role are motivated to provide exceptional service to all they come into contact with and are highly driven to offer valuable insight with every interaction. The Care Advocate Nurse actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
