This is a Temporary Position in support of the the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19. The Nursing Assistant functions under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical nurses to deliver high quality of care to residents in the Community Living Center (CLC). THIS IS AN OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled and/or the closing date, whichever event occurs first; consequently, the position may be filled before the posted closing date. Lists of eligible applicants will be referred to the selecting official periodically. Referrals will continue until all vacancies are filled and/or as additional vacancies are approved. Applicants must be able to start immediately. The Nursing Assistant performs a variation of tasks to provide a variety of personal care and diagnostic support duties such as charting and resident teaching tasks to meet the needs of residents/residents whose condition varies from mild to moderately severe. Provide basic customer focused resident care for a select group of residents/residents which includes feeding, bathing, oral, nail, hair and other related hygiene care. Performs a range of treatment duties that may include, assisting with rehabilitative aspect of care, e.g., bladder/bowel training, transfer, ambulation and range of motion. Recognizes and initiates resuscitative measures in cases of cardiopulmonary arrest or choking. Observes safely, universal precautions and fire/safety rules/regulations and is responsive to any hazard and the need to initiate measures to eliminate or report the hazard to prevent injury. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
