Provides social work and discharge planning for patients who require acute mental healthcare. Facilitates therapy groups and provides crisis intervention. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally

appropriate care in accordance with unit standards. Complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital. May be needed to work beyond the regular tour of duty or in another patient care unit as assigned by department head or nursing

supervisor.

• MSW required
• Recent experience in mental healthcare field
• Current BLS Certification
• Familiar with referral and state regulations for mental health patients
• Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced, stressful environment
